Community School / Second Chance Program
Community School is a consortium high school of choice in the Pasadena Independent School District. It offers a self-paced academic platform to the district’s growing number of students who are at-risk of not graduating from high school.
Community School Second Chance Program is for former Pasadena Independent School District High School students who are not currently enrolled in one of our high schools and who wish to earn their diploma in a non traditional setting.

Night School
Community School gives high school students who have not completed their high school education an opportunity to make-up deficiencies in credits or to earn additional high school credits by taking classes in the evening. Students may enroll with the approval of their principal or counselor.

TARA (Texas Alternative Recertification Application) Program
Pasadena ISD has re-opened the Texas Alternative Recertification Application (TARA) Program, which allows former PISD students who entered ninth grade before the 2011-2012 school year, and did not successfully pass all required state assessments, an opportunity to earn their high school diploma under Texas Senate Bill 463.
